Learned double unders (jk I can barely do singles without hops in between (does anyone say jk anymore? hello middle school) but that might be because I had a shitastic rope and not a speed rope?? idk (poor carpenter who blames his tools, yeah, yeah, go away), KB swings, and front squatz.
WOD was something like:
3 rounds, 1 min each:
- front squats
- sumo KB pull things (obvs awesome with the terminology)
- KB swings (started overhead…was parallel last set and a half. lol so weak)
- double unders (and by that I mean just trying to jump rope without getting tangled up)
- push-ups (on knees b/c again - weakling. at least when it comes to my upper body.)
Didn’t feel deaddeaddead after today’s WOD. Actually kind of wanted to go run lol. Instead I went and sat on the dirty beach (no such thing as pretty sand on a pacific nw beach, people) and watched the sunset. The sand itself may be fug but nothing beats the mountain & ocean view at sunset. Nothing. Don’t even try to argue with me.
Didn’t push myself as much as I could have but I think easing myself into xfit and not, you know, killing myself, is probably a good idea until my body adapts, you know?
But even though I don’t think I’m going to die…I just know lifting my arms tomorrow is gonna succkkkkkk.
